The Great Easter Vigil
April 4 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The Great Vigil isĀ held after nightfall on Holy Saturday, before dawn on Easter Sunday. It symbolizes the transition from death to life through four parts. It begins in darkness, with the kindling of a new fire and the lighting of the Paschal candle, followed by scripture readings from the Old and New Testaments, the blessing of water and the renewal of baptismal vows, and the first Eucharist of Easter.
